      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I just lost my Rogue Scientist, Tandi the Mad, to the 2nd floor zoo. My other character is an Emomancer, so out of habit I clicked the green icon and cast it right at a monster near the front.<br />
 <br />
Gas Canisters do not work that way.<br />
 <br />
It &quot;rebounded&quot; right at Tandi&#039;s feet, and she instantly died, with full health (NOT from full to zero. Dead with 45/45 hp). The title is what&#039;s listed on her gravestone. Poor Tandi.<br />
 <br />
I haven&#039;t done anything with modding, but I&#039;m guessing throwing a canister...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[So I am playing with my first rogue scientist build and I have worked my way up to the toxic canister.  The usage seems to be pretty simple, target an area, toss the canister and watch the carnage.  It seems like this works like any mage type AOE spell.  In reality however, it seems like the actual area that the toxins get released in is random.  Or maybe the canister bounces off targets?  If for example I try to lob a canister in the middle of a zoo, sometimes the gas cloud forms directly...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Really, I&#039;m looking for a philosophy. I just tried a Rogue Scientist, and I nearly cleared a mysterious portal before I died. Had I been a bit more ranged in my approach, I might have survived it with some great loot to show for it.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[So, first off I want to open up by saying that I&#039;m fairly new to Dungeons of Dredmor. If that helps you, I&#039;ve got something like 16 hours played. Lately I got interested in Polearms but I couldn&#039;t find any good builds. So I tried to go with Polearms, Master of Arms, Smithing, Communism, Berserker Rage, Perception and Big Game Hunter.<br />
If it would be possible I would be so happy to recieve any ideas of how to improve or to include skills such as Battle Geology or Clockwork Knight since I&#039;m...<br />

I got Dungeons of Dredmor a few days ago. So,I&#039;m new. But,big whoop,eh? Anyways,I played a smattering of skills,but find the basis of Clockwork Knight,Smithing,and Tinkering to be the most stable. It got me to floor four,where I promptly got obliterated by a Zoo,behind my first (and only) door.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I just died today to a Diggle Rocketeer on Floor 13 for the second time. Both of my builds used Archery, Thrown, Artful Dodger, Burglary, Tinkering and Perception. The last skill was different: Daggers for the first run and Piracy for the second. I&#039;ve been working this build into a dodge build, and i&#039;ve made 96 dodge rating(which means i dodge almost everything at floor 10-13). The dodge rating was so great that I actually could use melee without much penalty.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I think this should also do Hyporborean damage as it seems to freeze my game client 90% of the time.<br />
<br />
I do run almost exclusively on the highest game speed, and when i tune it down to the slowest the canister seems to freeze my game a lot less often, but still does it frequently.<br />
<br />
I really hate taking this out of my build as my current build is based exclusively on cooldowns and this one is too good to completely pass up, so I end up still taking the risk.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[I ask because I&#039;m on DL 10, and I think I can take him now (he is on DL 15). Character level 32ish. Playing PD, so no reload if things don&#039;t go swimmingly. I have access to two teleports, so running away should be viable.<br />

If I run down and spend a bunch of resources but can&#039;t kill him, will he be able to regenerate the damage I do inflict? If so, I should probably wait until I have more holy hand grenades (Have 3 atm). Thanks!<br />
