Is it actually possible to cancel the construction of those? I know you can cancel the "construct building" job in the job queue, but the building foundation persists on the map. And as for gabions, I can't even click the cross next to the job, it's not inside a circle like the other jobs.
I'll just tack onto your questions that I am having difficulties placing them. They often 'jump' a block over from where I clicked and then I am stuck with this out of place spot and cannot cancel it. The highlighted outline of the gabion remains indefinitely also - even after they've been deconstructed in many cases.
Whenever I build gabions, I always save right before I start to place anything, just in case something screws up
