I have had a dearth of colonists suitable for the task of saving the hearty souls of my colonists these past few attempts at glory.
Yes, we've disabled it due to overlap with the scope of the skill system. (Will be sure to remove in-game references to it; thanks for the reminder.)
Will the references you mention include the negative response a colonist shows when given the vicar job without having seminary training? That is the actual thing that sparked my question.
I'll miss it too, but I imagine with the sheer number of traits, they'll be forced to make some cuts. That reminds me, is "bee fancier" still a thing? I can't remember seeing it in awhile. Also, nice to see you're no longer a question mark.
With the introduction of 'Crazy cult preachers' behaviour if you put an mentally unstable individual in charge of a church, I can certainly understand the reason to remove the focus on seminary training. Though it would be pretty cool to see some more consequences introduced to reflect the traits of whoever is put in control of a church. For example, putting a morbid, xenophobic and materialistic individual in charge of sermons causing those attending church to have a completely different memory experience to if the sermon was performed by say someone with rustic, romantic and common mingler traits.
