Anyone else zone out at night? At least during the first few days when you don't have enough work crews to really need/want overnight shifts?
Agreed, that's usually when I tab out the game and do other things. I do enjoy watching them gossip on occasion, with the random slap or embrace here and there, but mostly night is all about sleep. This is when cults and other horrors should start to make things more interesting. They do their "business" at night.
They mostly come at night. (Mostly) But yeah, totally agree that night time could do with more going on. Not sure what's planned for firing up the strangeness again, but hopefully whatever it is will have some degree of nocturnal general activity that serves as a prelude, and that it won't all be driven by having to have a cult formed. Some examples off the top of my head: * A strange person wanders off into the wilderness at night to perform weird activities by themselves. Hug a tree, talk to rocks, stick their head into a beetle burrow... that kinda thing. * Someone with Fish Behaviour can sometimes be found strolling down to watch the ocean when everyone else is asleep. Or sometimes finds they prefer to sleep on the beach far removed from the colony. * A morbid colonist often likes to wander through the graveyards at night before finding the plot for someone they knew and doing a merry jig on it. * Mushroom lovers go out looking for psychotropic fungi, and then spend half the night just running around the wilderness stark naked or heeding the infinite wisdom of a random Auroch that they've decided is their spirit guide.
It would be nice if entities could be checked to see if they were in darkness or not - there's a lot that could be done with that.
