OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.12 IMac (Retina 5K, 27-Inch, Late 2015) Processor: 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5 Memory: 16 GB 1867 MHz DDR3 Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 M390 2048 MB Just purchased the game, I can't even start to play because once I click the "Start the Journey" button, the game crashes and exits out... A bug? Anyone else experiencing this?
We're here. I need to look into why the game is crashing on OS X; I just haven't had a spare moment to do so yet, but I'm certainly aware of it.
(A bunch of Mac fixes got pushed as part of 51B, including the embark point crash. There are still crashes - please send me more callstacks and we can get them fixed ASAP, now that we have Ryan back on the case for a bit. Thanks!)
State of the union: - Mac build is way better! (Berkstin hasn't complained much lately. ) There are still a few known crashes that seem to be Mac-specific, and I will be working on getting those out as soon as I get a chance. - Linux build is still waiting for me to have time to devote to it.
I still run in to crashes pretty often. Is there any way I could help things by providing a dump/debug output?
Post the console.txts here. I... need to go hassle Ryan about stuff, and I need to spend some time myself playing on the Mac.
So umm, will the linux version actually be ready before release in a week? I convinced my boyfriend, who only uses linux, to get early access. He'll be pretty pissed off at me if the game is released without a linux version.
We're trying, but it's tied down in contractor stuff so we're not sure of the exact date, if we'll have it on time or not. We're working on it though.
Now that the game is out, and I can stop frantically polishing and bug-fixing, I have time to work on longer-term projects again. Linux is one of them.
Tried to demolish a house I had made, game crashed. Reloaded the game and tried to demolish the same house again, game crashed. Something about wanting to demolish a house is crashing the game.
