Teleporting mobs in zoos

Not entirely sure if I'd call this a bug, as such, but it's incredibly frustrating when I come across a Zoo that has a pack of mobs that blinks/teleports around. Combined with secret rooms and the fact that you can't come back to a zoo once you leave a level and you've got the most annoying thing in the game.

In the last game alone, I've had to forfiet the "Bloody Reward" from two zoos because one mob teleported to some location on the map I can't reach/see. (I'm personally yet to find a skill/spell that will reliably destroy a wall.)

Indeed. Spent nearly 30 minutes looking around for the last enemy. It was mixed with a bunch of other monsters behind a closed door.

Actually, there are such things - namely The Mighty Auger (Werediggle) and Digging Ray (Golemancy). Bolts of Mass Destruction will also do the job if you have neither of those, though a certain degree of care may be required.

Dragon Breath too and probably some bombs that you can throw.

Those only destroy destructible walls, though, whereas it seems like the OP wanted something to let him get to monsters stuck behind ordinary ones. Incidentally, push effects like Psychokinetic Shove affect destructible walls too.

I've tried Shove before. It seems to be very finiky about what walls it'll destroy and when it'll destroy them, with only about one cast in six or seven destroying a single wall, if you're lucky. Casting shove a few thousand times to mine out half the map in a bid to try and find the last blinking mob of a zoo hardly sounds much fun. Turn demon also has a push effect, but that doesn't destroy walls, no matter how I tried.

@Velorian, I've not yet tried them, but having to rely on having one of two skill trees to be able to reliably cleary some zoos is a bit odd. And there aren't enough Bolts of Mass Destruction in a game to reliably find a single mob that could be behind a wall anywhere within a 50 square radius of a zoo.

@Eucori, the two times I mentioned in my first post, I spent around half an hour each time combing through every room in a 75-100+ square radius from the zoo, 2 to 3 times a room. Whereever they ended up, I've no idea.

Yeah it has become very frustrating. Also never 'friend' an enemy with veganism inside a monster zoo...you can't get the reward then as then that mob no longer counts toward the total and it doesn't subtract from it when you friend or kill it.
