So I've had a pretty awesome run so far and I've made it to level 8. I saved and quit, and now I come back a few hours later to play some more. But, every time I load my save, the game crashes. As far as I can tell this isn't related to the 1.0.8/teleport bug dealy issue. I started this run in 1.0.9 and have quit and reloaded several times already. The other save (also on level 8) also crashes the game when I try to load it, but the autosave from right as I left level 7 loads perfectly fine. I was about 3/4ths of the way through level 8 and got some pretty awesome loot, so I really really do not want to have to restart the whole level. Any help is appreciated. Also: I'd totally upload the saves in question if I had any idea where the game kept them.
Hi! If you are on Windows Vista/7 your save files should be located in something like C:\users\<yourname>\My Documents\Gaslamp Games\Dungeons of Dredmor They should be named according to your characters name, and have the file extension ".sav" Hope that helps ^^ I think the developers are aware of this though, from what I've read on the forums there seems to be a lot of people having similar issues. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure your input is appreciated anyways =)
Thanks. I looked around the forums but all reports of similar bugs weren't for 32-bit Vista, and none of them mentioned the working previous autosave. Anyway, hope this gets fixed soon.
That's actually a good point, most of the crashes seems to be on mac actually... If no one else has checked this out by tomorrow I'll try to load the saves on my computer and see if I can reproduce the crashes. But right now it's 1 AM over here, and I need to hit the hay before I do anything else I wouldn't worry too much though, I reported a crash which was then fixed after around 24 hours or so, the developers are pretty quick at seeing the reports here and then fixing it ^^ (It is christmas now though, so you might have to cut them some slack until they get back to work again) EDIT: Couldn't get your saves to show up on my end, don't know if it's because I'm on windows 7 64-bit or because I messed up somewhere... Unfortunately I have guests coming over in about 30 minutes so I can't look more at it atm. If I get the time to properly make things work I'll let you know. Meanwhile, Merry Christmas
