So I was just looking up descriptions for the various hidden achievements in the game, and I noticed this one: "Meet somebody from Gaslamp Games and consume Alcholic Beverages in their presence." Is it a reference t0 some in-game thing, some easter egg perhaps? Surely you wouldn't have to drink with one of them in real life for this achievement, right?
Real life? Dang, that's kind of cool actually. How would it work though... as in, how would they know who to give it to? Would the player be giving them his Steam username in between drinks or something? Might be a tad awkward. Of course, it's probably just academic from my perspective, since I doubt whether any of them will be coming to Canada anytime soon. Still, it seems like a cute little thing.
I guess they'd just know how to ask for the achievement on Steam if they met them in real life (unless they got so flushed that they forgot their own name), or something like that. It might be as simple as actually contacting them and writing "hey, I drunk with you on that on that day".
Hmm, that does make sense. On a somewhat related note, are any of the developers Canadian? Like, say, whoever came up with the idea to put the Toque of Kanada and Maple Shield in the game?
I think they are all Canadian. If they aren't Canadian they live in Canada. In the "about" section of the site here it says they work in Victoria. (British Columbia maybe...?)
Dang, I had no idea they were in Canada - for some reason I assumed they were American (serves me right for not looking it up I suppose). Oh well, if any of them are ever in Toronto I ought to buy them a beer just on principle, for having made such a cool game.
