    These things.

Clicking on them does nothing, just makes the walking sound and increments the turn counter.

    In short: no.

I wish they did. Probably makes sense if they did now that we've got those weird portals, though I didn't think to go back and give them special actions when I was fixing things up for the expansion. (And, crap, I misplaced one of those didn't I!)

No you didn't, I knocked it around seeing if I had to move it to do something.

But okay, that makes me feel a little better. I'd say they could teleport to each other, but then they'd just be displacement glyphs. Maybe...maybe they could act like displacement glyphs, but go to a part of the level that can't be accessed otherwise? Or maybe like a mirror of opposition? Feed it an artifact and it spits out an equivalent artifact, possibly of a different base item?

That sounds fun. I prefer the feed an artifact, trigger something more than teleport to unreachable.

That's a cool idea: feed it an artifact, it takes you to a TREASURE ROOM where you can have a TREASURE BATH and fight some TREASURE GOLEMS who are protecting their TREASURE STASH from TREASURE THIEVES like you.

Feed it a low level artifact or the wrong kind of artifact and it takes you to a figurative hell of unique strong creatures and you're forced to fight your way out of it or sent to a hellish maze of impossibly high level traps (and reduce your trap skills and trap sight to -infinity) and you must navigate your way through the maze without triggering any of them or risk a painful death, meanwhile monsters with knock abilities will constantly attempt to push you into traps, block your path, and generally be a royal pain.
