Wow, it's been a while since I've been here and now there are ten pages of mods and saw all the different mods in the completed mods sticky, but I was wondering what some of you thought were the best.

    Thanks,

While there are very few I strictly DISlike, my favorites are Runecaster and Radiant Wizard, personally.

Not including my own, since that's not fair, I'd have to say Interior Dredmorating, Clockwork Knights, Megacrafts, and Encyclopedia Magicka. I always activate these four regardless of what kind of build I'm planning, so obviously they're the best. :D

I really like Interior Dredmorating for adding a bunch of fun rooms, Clockwork Knights and Megacrafts for expanding upon the crafting recipes and adding a few things, and Radiant Wizard for a very interesting and risky skillset.

Or maybe it's because they're the mods that add new rooms, items and crafts in addition to skills, so they remain viable no matter whatever dungeon run you're planning. :p I may try a food item mod sometime, if only I can somehow get the art done; also would love to incorporate some appropriately-themed equipment into my Blood Knight mod.

Truth be told, I always have CK Knights and ID on at all times, too.

Skills-wise, my favourites would have to be Essential DoD 1 (usually take at least one of the skills in all my warrior/rogue builds, esp. Qigong) and SwiftStriker.

  6. Ess. DoD 1 for me too. Also Clockwork Knights, both are epic mods, and my favorites. Megacrafts is cool too, and Atheist Monk would be epic if it were balanced a tad better, but I haven't seen Dehodson on the forums lately :(

This is pretty much my current list as well. When the game remembers mod order I'll activate more though.

Clockwork Knights, Dwarvish Influence, Essential DoD 1+2, Interior Dredmorating, Item Pack (encyclopedia magica), Jay Phonemes, Megacrafts are the ones i tend to have running on any modded playthrough. Interior Dredmorating in particular is a must have. :)

  9. All of the Mods mentioned so far are favorites of mine as well that I almost always have active, and I also have a personal fondness for the dragon Kniight and Usurper Mods. The Usurper mod makes a Richard build possible, which was actually the first build I maanaged to kill Dredmor with on permadeath

  10. Hm, seems like people are talking about which mods they use the most. I guess for me that would be Megacrafts. If I have a spare skill slot, I often take Gravedigger on melee-weapon-users who 1 - don't want to be locked into a single type of weapon, but 2 - want to start with a friggin melee weapon so they don't die. Dire Gourmand does that too, but requires Dredmorating for the frying pan, so Gravedigger comes up more often.

As for favorite mods, Runecaster and Wind Magic are very cool, unique twists on the play experience that I greatly dig. I haven't played them a ton, but what I have played has been very, very fun.

    What's a 'Richard' build?

I think he means Richard from Looking For Group.

  13. Yep, that's who I based it off of. Amusing in the end, it was.

I use Essential Skills I a fair bit, mostly for QiGong. Swift Strikers is also a pretty common choice for me. Generally, though, I tend to rotate between mods somewhat evenly.

  15. Glad to hear you like SwiftStriker! It's definitely an encouraging thing to hear!

I'm glad I like it, too!

Joking aside, I enjoy teleport effects, especially those designed to be used with melee characters. Once I realized Boltproof lasted until you attacked, not until you were attacked, it started seeing a lot of play on my two-weapon fighters.
