Dredmor Patch 1.0.10 RC9 Feedback Thread - I Believe in The Lever Fix

    Perhaps that means "physical" resistances only play a role when the damage comes from spells, and AA takes care of it in normal attacks instead. That's how I imagine it should normally be, either way.

    Except piercing.
     
  3. Piercing isn't a normal attack type though, it's not powered by the melee power stat.

    The disappearing belt bug came back for me today. I was playing Going Rogue, no permadeath, not no-time-to-grind. Accidentally crafted two trapper's toolbelts, and only got 1. Then I equipped the 1 belt I had and it ate my previous belt. :confused:

    Good to know about the statues being a feature I had never declined a quest before and had never heard about them being a one use thing whether you take it or not so I assumed bug.

    Also to keep this somewhat relevant I've been hitting a crash when pulling a random lever as well now not even remotely sure of what may cause it since it seems to happen randomly to me and most levers work fine.

    Edit: really should read for updates before replying to things now I know that the lever one has been addressed already yay for exhausting days at work making one slow. :rolleyes:

    Yay this is great, I've just been playing 1.0.10 and I was really disappointed by what happened to fungal arts. Managing spores was tedious and the cooldown was even worse. I agree with... that other poster... though, that the proc shouldn't consume corpses. Given that the fungal arts are being nerfed anyway, that would make a nice silver lining, and make the lives of vampires slightly easier especially for people like me who play only random builds. I did feel fungal arts needed to be nerfed but as it is now it may be a bit too much of one.

    Not sure why Alchemy needed to be buffed, but I like it. There wasn't much other way to get those resistances. Glad to see the rather overpowered Blood Mage (and by extension Killer Vegan) nerfed.

    Posters here mentioned belt bug still supposedly persists. Haven't been able to replicate here, as far as I can tell it has been fixed.

    EDIT: By the sounds of what muffin said it returned after he crafted a belt. I'll give that a try.

    Welp, I followed the directions and overwrote my Dredmor directory with the 1.0.10 RC2 patch... and all of my saves spawned Dread Collectors. =(

    Managed to eat my own belt exact same way I did it before the patch. I had the smithing skill and opened the smithing window a few times but never actually made anything.

    Method was to right click a belt in your inventory while walking, same as always. Belt currently worn gets eaten to make space for the replacing belt.

    What's odd is that this should have happened now when it wasn't happening before. The game had autosaved a few times before the belt eating incident.

    Okay, I made mushroom spawning into an effect that has a chance to occur when you kill an enemy.

    No tedium, no waiting -- just kill things and it'll spawn mushrooms for you or it won't.

    Can I get confirmation either from a dev or another player that XYZbuffs (including the ones that used to work: playerHitEffectBuff and targetHitEffectBuff) are currently not functional when called from inside of <buff> tags? Or am I just an idiot?

    Also, I seem to have a <targetKillBuff> that's being called from inside of a skill that's just not working at all, though this may be because of a coding error that I just can't see. :)

    It's not they've mentioned before that they aren't in buffs yet. I have no idea regarding the playerHitEffectBuff and target. Maybe that's because of changing something with what the buffs are using but I don't know.

    Stupid question: is there a taxa="Player" or taxa="Hero" in there with all of the specific-monster Taxas? :)

    Lol, thanks for the advice. I share files so rarely that I honestly don't know what's legit or not, so I seriously do appreciate it.
