So I did a search and was amazed to not find a thread already on the subject! Maybe I missed it, and if so point me there, but this thread must exist!

What are the best special enemy and artifact names you've come across? If you've got a good artifact list of "additions", that qualifies too! Didn't even think of room names until after I posted, but those can be pretty funny too.

    For example:
    Enemy: the "Pounder of Ales"
or from Narwhal in the death thread: the "Sahmosifer the Dominatrix Over Gears"

I'll post more when I'm at home and remember to screenshot them...

It's not an enemy or artifact name, but it's a room.

I think it was "The Non-Euclidian Bakery of Sausage Rolls".

When I got the quest, I had to screenshot it.

I named it "Some artifacts are just TOO magical."

My favorites were the monsters "Consumer of Coffees" and "Incoming Tentacles".

I think I had one involving incoming tentacles too. Aren't randomized names fun?

There's a few good ones like that, but it's not random.

All artifacts: Maslech, the Eater of Beatings; Eyjalla, the Extraplanar Marriage (talk about long distance); Unuspo, the Unimpressive Fork.

    I agree. (Click me, I'm a link!)

I remember watching Cosmos with my dad on PBS when I was kid, and even then, I recognized its awesomeness. The fact that I still remember it a quarter century later after only watching a handful of episodes says something, if you ask me.

I wonder if it's available on Hulu or NetFlix? Time to fire up ye olde interwebs and take a look...

Again, nothing at all against Mr. Sagan, I love him too, but that's NOT a random name!

You didn't specify random in the first post.

    I've had:
Valcrajo, the Mangler of Grammars (found that kinda ironic)
    Argkulltwe, the Creation of Grammars

Are we doing room names, too?
I found The Portly Test Chamber of Pillars, which made me laugh. And The Beknighted Home of Kumquats, and The Dry Dock of Porpoises.

OK, I checked the first post and you're right, I didn't explicitly specify random. But I did say artifact, which is the same thing in my head :p It might even be the same distinction in the code, artifact involves random stats.

I love the irony of the first one :)

Irony is when the intended meaning is an INVERSION of the normal meaning. If something is a mangling of grammars, and bears the title of "Mangler of Grammars" it's not ironic, it's apt.
