Deadshot :(

Hi guys. I'm new here and I have read how to get the Deadshot Achievement ... but my problem is that it isn't working for me. Whenever I try to get it via the last file it just doesn't work for me.
Again sorry for bringing this up again just wanted to know if someone could help me out.

It wasn't actually removed. It was just set to deprecated="1". This is so old saves wouldn't break when it was turned off. That's why manually editing your last.txt file can grant you the skill.

<skill name="Deadshot" id="12" type="warrior" deprecated="1" achievement="ACHIEVEMENT_DEADSHOT_MASTERY" .../>

I attached the last.txt file that I just used to let me play with Deadshot. I also attached a save that has Deadshot.

 

Yeah I knew that. That's why I've been asking if someone could help me to get it, since everyone told me stuff about editing the last file. Just never worked though.

Edit: After un- and reinstalling DoD for like roughly 10 times ... i finally managed to get deadshot.

Hell, you could just go into skillDB.xml and remove the deprecated="1" flag.

 

As a note, only the one in the <flags> element matters. The one in the <skill> element doesn't do anything.

 

I wonder if the deprecated flag works on things other than skills.

 

Is it possible right now to enable deadshot? Setting "12" in last.txt just gives me perception.

 

Knowing how these things have worked before it does not. I believe they have to manually enable the tag for each of the dbs, and don't have anything for all of them.

 

I'm not 100% sure of this, but once Essence remakes Deadshot for 1.14, won't it give the achievement? Unless his remake will be considered a mod version without the achievement tag..

The entire point of remaking Deadshot was to let all of the Steam players who don't know about this forum have their precious achievement, actually.
