It's even more bizarre than I thought! triggerondodge and dodgeBuff both work on abilities. However, triggerondodge uses the "percent" attribute and defaults to 5, while dodgeBuff uses "percentage" and defaults to 100.
Hey, Fax. Something weird is going on here. I installed this with the DLC RC5, to see if it worked okay along side it. Um, The Diggle God of Mediocracy is invisible, the statue, and it doesn't activate when I click on it. The Rama's Banana doesn't trigger the boost to smithing and other skills. And neither the Tea of O'ylth, and the Variable Enchancer do anything .. Nothing with an effect seems to work at all. Do you have any idea why nothing seems to work? Was I supposed to download all the previous versions of 0.8 in a row for it to work? The new skill tree has no effects at all. I've never seen something completely break every effect.
I ran into all but one of the issues David mentioned last night too. (And the one remaining may have just been unnoticed by me.) Base Game + RotDG + RC1, RC2, RC3, RC4, and finally RC5. I can assure you it worked fine until RC5. But then I upgraded to 0.8RevE of FAXPAX at the same time, so either could be the cause. This is really weird.
Hey Fax, something lutefisk-y seems to be happening. With RC5 and the latest version of FaxPax my game crashes when entering a tiki bar. Any ideas? No window saying the game has crashed either. It just goes straight to desktop.
Alas, I am using that little revision. (I noticed the file size was slightly different and the MD5 was changed.) MD5: C3CF2ECDA2113A6AC97CCCE5DA985699
I don't believe so, I started up the game after checking the forums and upgrading to the latest version of mods that had updated.
Hm. Both skillDB and spellDB pass validation. As does rooms.xml. I made a few changes. Here's RevF. See if that fixes it?
Testing now, I'll edit when I find if it works or not. *fingers crossed* EDIT: Fixed! Awesome, thanks a bunch Fax. I'm curious, what was it that was causing the problem?
I honestly don't know. Maybe bad packaging? there were a few places I used <anim sprites instead of <anim sprite, but I don't see how that would kill the whole thing.
The Necrotic Rod now fails to crash the game! Well done again FaxCelestis! I still have no idea what it does unless it is supposed to cause that "Counterstrike" buff I see and have no idea about. The Rama Bananas work as they should now too. So it seems you fixed the bulk of the issues with your keyboard magic. (If not all of them.) I have no Tiki bar at current to test that with, nor any good drinks to test. But I suspect things are mostly fixed. Thank you!
It's supposed to be "percent". Code: spellDB.xml(789): <effect type="knock" amount="1" amountF="0.35" secondaryScale="24" percentage="50" /> spellDB.xml(790): <effect type="paralyze" turns="3" amount="3" amountF="0.35" secondaryScale="26" percentage="50" /> spellDB.xml(851): <effect type="trigger" spell="Possession's Price" percentage="10" /> spellDB.xml(864): <effect type="trigger" spell="Possession's Price" percentage="10" /> spellDB.xml(879): <effect type="trigger" spell="Possession's Price" percentage="25" /> spellDB.xml(900): <effect type="trigger" spell="Wail of the Banshee A" percentage="25" /> spellDB.xml(901): <effect type="trigger" spell="Wail of the Banshee A" percentage="25" /> spellDB.xml(902): <effect type="trigger" spell="Wail of the Banshee B" percentage="25" /> spellDB.xml(903): <effect type="trigger" spell="Wail of the Banshee B" percentage="25" /> spellDB.xml(904): <effect type="trigger" spell="Wail of the Banshee C" percentage="25" /> spellDB.xml(905): <effect type="trigger" spell="Wail of the Banshee C" percentage="25" /> spellDB.xml(906): <effect type="trigger" spell="Possession's Price" percentage="20" /> spellDB.xml(992): <effect type="trigger" requirebuffontrigger="1" requirebuffontriggername="Power of the Broforce" spell="Make It Explode" percentage="15" /> spellDB.xml(993): <effect type="trigger" requirebuffontrigger="1" requirebuffontriggername="Righteous Empowerment" spell="Make It Explode" percentage="10" /> spellDB.xml(998): <effect type="trigger" spell="Make It Explode" percentage="10" />
I"ll go give this a try and see if it works and fixes the weird nothing working bug. Do you have any idea what caused that at all?
I will have to make a nice choke point next zoo I come across. That should make an insane number of corpses for it. The one thing I am really unclear about with it is weather I should target the corpses I am standing on or something else. It seems to work either way.
Good news, everybody! It works now! Thank you, Fax. Here's hoping though, that my Fedora someday gets close to the Eater of Beatings. It got 1 1 1 1 2 1 on the first enchant. Well, I eventually rerolled it. But still. Okay, I found a hilarious bug. The out of phase skill stacks everytime you cast it. So, I'm now walking around with 119 dodge, 129 sneakiness, and 85 Magic Resist, and probably 80 magic reflect. Needless to say, I'm invincible now. I don't think it's supposed to stack, is it?
0.9 uploaded. It will not break saves (despite the version number change): I just felt the change was big enough to warrant a new version.
