THESE ARE NOT MOD REQUESTS. THESE ARE QUESTIONS ABOUT EXISTING BITS OF THE GAME THAT ONLY A DEV CAN DEFINITIVELY ANSWER. I personally know the answers to some of these, but I want definitive answers in a viewable thread. Is soundfx.xml moddable? Are spell animations supposed to be indexed or RGB? If indexed, do they require the same palette across all frames? Do monster sprites have to have the same palette for each frame? What about from animation to animation (ie: can cast sprite have a different palette than an attack sprite)? What does special="1" do on monsters? On items? Can item interactions with barbecues, mini fridges, and vending machines be modded? What about fountains? Krong powers? Diggle gods? Do shields or other non-weapon items gain Krong powers? Does overrideClassName interfere with this (ie: a shield can get weapon procs, but a tome can't)? What item types does overrideClassName work on? Can more shrines (eyeball shrine, monolith, mellow shrine) be added? What about more types of vending machines?
Do mysterious portal rooms DO HAVE a Treasure or not? if they have a treasure what kind of item is it? random spawned (aka completly random even mudane items) or a artefact. I had two mysterious portal rooms which only yielded my mudane non-enchanted items.
It depends on what exactly is it that you are asking there. Fountains can be modded at the basic level, just like Krong powers. Items/skills can have effects dependent on a buff from the Diggle Gods (because it is a buff). Barbecues and mini-fridges are hard-coded now. Vending machines are also hard-coded, just like power(s) used to interact with them. You can add more shrines, as they are just blockers. Vending machines, on the other hand, are hard-coded now. Nay, they have out-of-depth items and creatures to find, but there are no guaranteed riches.
Well they might not even be necessarily aware of them all even. It's possible that they don't notice for instance that special items could spawn in shops and such.
Shrines can be added, they're in the quest.xml file or whatever it is. The problem with that is that it's almost definitely not moddable.
Cleaned up the thread off the derail from request similarly to how the mod requests thread was, keep it on topic please.
