When exactly will the new expansion be on Steam?

Stupid reason to make a thread, I know, but I've been waiting for this for a while and am stoked.

Any info? (I'm in europe, +1 Central european time, I think).

It should be some time today or tomorrow. Beta testing for the final release candidate started early this morning and it looks like there isn't anything that should hold it up.

 

Actually, according to the GLG twitter the files were sent to steam some time ago.

Generally Steam does most of its updating at 6pm GMT+1/5pm GMT, which is in about 30 minutes.

So, any time from then onwards.

This may sound like the most clueless question ever, but is there a legal download of DoD with all the udates for people who bought it over Steam but are getting increesingly annoyed at Steam? In other words, if I could prove I bought it, how do I get a standalone working wersion that I can play bypassing steam alltoghater?

Well, AFAIK you can run Dredmor without Steam (you go into the Steam folders and find it), but the only thing I can suggest is buying it again through Desura.

Also: Game has updated (no notes), no Dee Ell See yet, Workshop visible.

 

The old skills do have their changes and their new levels (for the crafting skills).

 

Why has it, oddly, listed itself as Free to Play?

 

Well, it's just it'll be a bit confusing for some as it'll appear in Steam's Free-to-Play category alongside... um... Microsoft Flight and Star Trek Online.

 

As others have pointed out, the new skill sets aren't showing up, though the Workshop does.

 

Lords above the Steam store page is terrible. It still can't decide whether that Space multipack is a midweek madness thing, and it's been adding/removing it for me for the past hour.

 

Valve need to hire more Diggles.



Progress is being made, however. But it'll disappear again - it has before.
