Before others comment on this, Essence was just defending Fax. They have mutual respect for one another and you should not take it personally. Your comments did strike me as rude, but I figured you were not thinking of how it would be perceived, Essence did not call you names. He made a joke. ~sigh~ Before you start to read it, JadestoneX, I want you to know that I really have nothing against you, and I just like writing a lot. Whether you stay with us or decide to go away, I'll try not to be an arse, so just take your time to read the below wall of text and try to understand it. I know that you feel uncomfortable when everyone is jumping on you from the very beginning, but there is a reason for that, and a very simple one at that. You see, you came into this thread with no knowledge of how mods are made whatsoever (I can tell, because if you knew that , you would've removed the "offending" parts of the mod yourself), and asked Fax to split his mod into miniscule parts, which requires a lot of work to do because of cross-dependencies and stuff like that. And you got your answer that no, such a thing is not possible, because it requires a lot of work. What was your response then? You started listing what you want gone with no real explanation as to why you want it gone, even though you got a negative response. And no, "I dislike the concept" or "I dislike the sprite" is not a good enough reason for someone to have to do a lot of additional (and not really necessary) work, and that is because you are asking someone to spend a lot of his free time just for you, and thus explaining why *exactly* is it that you don't like it is the absolute minimum of courtesy that you could've shown there. Especially if we factor in the fact that some of the things you wanted removed don't really need to be removed - if you don't like Dragon Aspirant skill set, then just don't choose these skills, it's as simple as that. And upon receiving another response that no, it really isn't possible to get it chopped into smaller parts for you because yes, it does require a large amount of work, what was it that you did? You posted another message, this time listing things that you want to have in the alleged mod chop. That is annoying and obnoxious, because it's as if you were trying to extort it from Fax. Which is precisely why Essence posted what he did - because of your persistence in asking for something without giving a reason when you were being told to stop and given a reason why you should do so, you were rude, regardless of whether that was your intention or not. That is akin to going to the shop and yelling at the cashier because of something you did, because "the customer is always right". Nobody likes people like that, and as someone who actually works as a cashier I can tell you that it's the worst possible attitude to take if it's the first time somewhere, regardless of whether it's a shop or an internet forum. Had you been a member of this forum for a little longer, they'd have probably just let this slide once. Had you explained your reasoning instead of just being persistent in asking for something that required a lot of work from our side, they'd have been nicer in explaining it to you. That being said, one advice for you for the future. If you expect someone to do something for you, show them courtesy and understanding, because you are just asking them to sell you their time for free. And nobody gives free gifts to people they don't like. If you are denied, just try to get them to like you a little more and ask again after some time, explaining why you want it to be done. And even if you get denied then, you might be given advice how to do it on your own instead, because people tend to try being helpful towards people who are nice to them. Also, neither Fax nor Essence are "gods" there - they are just people who have experience with creating mods for DoD because they created mods for DoD, and people respect them for that, and for the fact that they are nice and helpful. The problem lies in persistence, and in the fact that as people who know what we are doing, we (not just Fax and Essence, but "we", modders in general) tend to get annoyed when someone with no knowledge of modding whatsoever comes and behaves as if we had to listen to him because he knew better. It's normal and it applies to every kind of job - if you know what you are doing and have to deal with someone who persistently asks you to waste your time without appearing to listen to your words, it's natural to get irritated.
Also, to add to what was said above, Jade, you don't seem like a bad person, and I just want to share some advice from a long dead man. "You can do more with a kind word and a gun, than just a kind word." Al Capone I'm not suggesting you point guns at people, just that you start using kind words like please. IT will smooth over all the rough waters. And it also will cancel the assassination contract with the Dark Brotherhood that is on you. I like being friends with them.

True, Kazeto. Also, If you don't mind requoting the actual post, instead of the glitched one, please do. I was just trying to edit it, and somehow screwed it up.
The cocktails, the concoctions and the fruit. The cocktails look flat and uninteresting. They don't seem to have any shape, and being on an entirely profile view doesn't help. They look more like stickers than items. I suggest fiddling around with a different viewpoint and maybe outlines. The concoctions are even worse--they literally look like something that was drawn on paper and then cut out. It's not even a sticker, it doesn't look like it belongs. The problem here is not the viewpoint, though, it's entirely the way it's drawn. I suggest fiddling around with the pose (probably facing diagonally) and giving them a bit more depth. The fruit is fine for the most part, cept for the positioning and the detail. Simply put they look too detailed. Toning down the shades used for shading and fiddling with outlines again might help. Also, why are they at the bottom? It just makes them look awkward. I hope this didn't come out as rude.
They are, because they have a different angle and the liquid looks defined, not to mention its shape is well defined. I'm going to fiddle with adding black outlines to some of the items though, and drop them in the dropbox to see what you think... If that's alright with you.
While I had to agree that the cocktails aren't the very bestest sprite work ever, they are a hell of a lot better than I could do...and when I am using a mana-centered build, I am too busy tossing them back for all the awesomeness to even worry about it...I think outlines would look make them look pretty awesome, for the most part. But as for the fruits, I love me the fruits. The orange especially is super awesomely done...I love oranges...makes me want an orange every time I see one...LOL
I'm thinking of getting Kazeto a traq gun for his birthday. Then he doesn't have to tell people to get more sleep. They'll just be wandering around with bags under their eyes and all of a sudden- *pfffft* And they're out like a light! I think we'll all feel more rested if this happens. Theres nothing I can do to Kazeto other than hope for his/her death or enlightenment. I do understand, When I make mods which I do for multiple games I might add since I enjoy everything Computer related and well cause of it I do not go out often causing my Social Awkwardness but the Difference between me and most people I want the people who use the Mod to be happy not to just Pick a select few as well as make the mod as perfect as possible and my Perfection "Fetish" I have is cause Im a Perfectionist, I have OCD and to give me the time to Perfect everything I do I am a Insomniac that's why I know C++ amongst others and still learning more. My point is, Who cares if its hard if theres a Outcome that will enrich the Modding Community, I did that for the Spore Community (I dug through the XML files for Hours and Decompiled the Executable as well to find anything of Use) and I wish Others would do the same for the Communities or Community to Reside in.
