I thought the digglegod="1" flag was supposed to restrict a room to only one room with the flag per floor. Yes, they're mod rooms, but they have the digglegod="1" flag.
I've seen 2 diggle gods on the same floor multiple times, even without mods. First time I ever found a diggle god, there were two on the same floor. Though rare, I'm pretty sure it's intended behavior, as you have to choose between them.
Even though those gods are from a mod and you can only have one blessing, i'm still green with envy. In my only playthrough that made it down that far, there were only two Diggle God statues. Both were the Death god ones. Then again, there might have been a Secrets god I missed but still, you're lucky (especially since those are side by side)
Not sure, exactly. It doesn't restrict them to 1 per floor, as we've seen. It doesn't ensure you get a diggle god per floor if there's one possible, as I've seen late game floors without one and don't think I was just missing a hidden god of secrets. Probably it's like shop="1" and zoo="1". Both apply a limit to how many can show up on a floor, but the limit is not "1". Shops usually come in 3s, but you can have 0 to 3 (and just 0 to 1 in NTTG). Zoos are usually 1 per floor, but can occur 0 to 2 times per floor. Maybe it's like that, and limits you to usually 1, but sometimes 0 or 2, diggle gods per floor. It may also actually be what tells the game to load whatever subroutine allows it to parse the statues and blessings correctly. You know how we were both working on a diggle god of traps that would give you a (negative) diggle god blessing when you stepped on a trap? When I finally got mine implemented, I was shocked to discover that granting a diggle god blessing via any way other than a diggle god statue doesn't remove your existing blessings (if any). Which kinda spoiled the point of the trap, unless I actively put in removebuffbyname shenanigans (or something equally as clever). Here's a photo of a character with two diggle god blessings: one from by a trap, and one from a statue.
