Also for work, Leisure Suit Larry (coming soon), and a ton of other crap. (it just felt nice to say i got it for Dredmor)
$60 for D3 - played it 40 hours, bored now $5 for DoD - Played it 350 hours, still going $600 for DoD on iPad - sounds good to me
I also want this. My wife asked why I would want to buy the game again. I asked her why wouldn't I? Pound for pound dredmor is the best RPG of this generation. P.S. I did not buy the game with pounds.
I am still hyped up about this. When it comes out I will never not be playing Dredmor. Dredmor in bed, dredmor at my computer, dredmor at work....
So I'm going to see Dark Knight Rises tonight, and I'm literally bummed that I can't take Dredmor with me. I'm on DLEV 13!
I have an I-Pad but there are only a few places where I'd take it in public, simply because I'm too afraid that I'll lose it or have it stolen. I feel a lot safer carrying my kindle (not actually a tablet and I feel safe taking it almost everywhere and hardly ever leave the house without it). I don't think I've EVER seen anyone else carrying around a tablet in a public place, outside of an airport or a science fiction convention, or my doctor's office, honestly.
I was doing some poking around and Android development. I was using some tools that came straight from Google's dev page. http://developer.android.com/tools/index.html It was a year or so ago so I don't quite remember it all. I had a program called Eclipse, but I don't remember if that was a code import helper or the Android environment emulator. The emulator was sweet. You could pick individual hardware pieces, the Android OS version, resolution and screen sizes and boot up an emulated version of your phone to test it. It was an incredibly comfortable if slightly clunky process back then. Everything may be different now though. I may try to fire all the tools back up on my clean HD this weekend and fool around with it a bit more. Maybe then I can give you a bit more solid information on it. EDIT: Eclipse was a development environment that directly supported Android plug-ins for ease of porting to the emulator. Shows how much I remember. http://www.eclipse.org/
I have a Google Nexus 7 (1280x800) and I'd love to see an android release of Dungeons of Dredmor. I hope if that happens that we'd still be able to run mods on that version.
I actually have my PC built right off of my bed. I am laying on by bed as I type this. Computer desks? Pffft. I want comfort.
