Warlockery: Mana Maille working as intended?

I've been trying a new build with Warlockery and I'm finding Mana Maille very much overpowered, to the extent of making my character almost invincible.

The skill itself costs 0 mana to cast so it will never turn itself off, the buff to all resistance +1 is permanent for even the buff will stay there even when you force turn off Mana Maille.
And for some reason mana maille will keep reacting even when I have no mana, so my mana sometimes stays in the -minuses. I mean thats fine because warlockery is intended for a warrior build, and I have no other mana sink.

So working as intended or needs a little polishing?
if mana maille stopped working when you have no mana, it would balance things out nicely. but just how much % of damage is being divided into mana?

    thank you

It's an oversight, Mana Maille should deactivate itself if your mana gets down to zero, but unfortunately the drain effect doesn't check for that.

Mana Maille doesn't divert a % of your HP loss into mana -- it 'merely' gives you 1 of each Resistance + 1 point of Armor, and then removes 2 mana any time you get hit. if your only wizard skill is Warlockery and you find you don't need Puissant Touch, by all means just take Mana Maille and let your MP go radically negative. :)

Uh, has anybody else noticed that Mana Maille can be used multiple times? It appears to be re-usable after each auto-save. I assume this is not the intended function. Sorry if this has already been pointed out elsewhere.

It's a problem with all non-stackable buffs. It will be fixed in the next version.

Ehh, it at most reduces the damage you take on a hit by 3.

Well, in theory if a monster attacks for several damage types it could block more than that, but yeah. Realistically, 3 seems like a probable average.

Do you ever take damage from more than 2 damage types on hit from enemies currently in the game?

Yes. Enemies on DL 15 do as many as 5. The modding forum has a nifty thread on the subject.
