While Glyph of the Eye of Ra is active, hitting monsters causes monsters in the vicinity to be pushed back.

When this effect happens, dungeon features are also pushed back - this includes items, chests, traps, switches, non-interactive objects and even wall decor.

I assume that the skill is only suppose to push monsters, or at most, monsters and loose items on the dungeon floor.

All skills that push monsters also push objects. It's a "feature" ;)

A very useful feature. For one, it allows you to get into those jail cell things. Or at least it did. Since hotfix 9 I haven't been able to push those grates with rocket fist :(

This is kind of an awful feature. It's had the effect of pushing teleportation levers off the islands I'm standing on. If it weren't for Invisible Geometries, I would have been stranded indefinitely.

If possible I'd like this effect to only work on monsters ("targetmonster" spell type would seem to do this, but I don't think it actually works.) If this can't be done, then it'd be nice if vital levers like these are made unshoveable.

I disagree (except for the last part about making levers unmovable)

I agree. Making some levers immovable would be a good idea, but you definitely should not be prevented from moving other dungeon objects.

This can be made to only hit monsters, and doing it like that would be more appropriate to the intended effect.

I'll put it in the next patch; Next next perhaps, if the current one is already in the oven.

Yay! I just hope you know something about these effects that I don't.

You see, I attempted myself to make a knockback effect that only affected monsters by using "targetmonster" in the spell type. However, if so much as one monster was caught in the template, all tiles would knock, even if it was empty or had an object in it (in which case it would knock the object.)

Fortunately, if a monster isn't knocked, nothing is, which limits the utility of the spell (as intended.) But I get the feeling this won't be possible with the Glyph, unless some internal code is changed.
