well, surely, just pressing the plus sign once wouldn't be that taxing -- although this is just lazy-talk, t-up for convenience, OR add something to the options menu to tweak gamespeed
This. Now that you mention it it would probably be just as good or better for the game to simply remember my speed settings.
http://community.gaslampgames.com/threads/how-to-increase-game-speed.5132/#post-59778 *Edit* Since I did not really add anything, let me ask, is it really so taxing to press one button on the keyboard once or twice when you play?
Its not taxing, its just that it would make more sense for it to start in the middle rather than at an extreme and/or to remember my settings.
you *are* playing a roguelike, albeit friendlier, have you played dwarf fortress at the least? the interface will eat you
I managed multiple ascensions in Nethack/Slash'Em. I can tell you that every key has a purpose. And if you used a capital letter, it has *ANOTHER* purpose. And they were not just simple things too. It is right up with Dwarf Fortress in terms of how much insanity it causes. I swear, Cthulhu thinks Nethack and Dwarf Fortress are "Crazy Games for Crazy People". He/she/it is right too.
sometimes i feel like default +1 is too fast. but i also feel like default is too slow. i wish there was a middle, default +0.5 speed.
