Good news, your fix worked. Looks like that was really the only issue I was having (capitalization makes me a sad panda).
Oh, I figured this after losing all yesterday trying to play DoD and being stopped by the syncronization.
Hey! I really enjoy all that swashbucklin, so thanks for your effort you salty dogs. However, I have a repeatable crash. I think it is the Commodore Saber cause it happens since I equipped it. This is the message I get. File named skills/iosaber64.png not found. It's actually the first time that Dredmor crashed for me. Aarrrrr!
I used to have that issue. He fixed it a few hotfixes ago. You'll need to redownload the mod and start a new game, unfortunately
A note on treasures; can it be arranged to have some more kinds of treasure in pirate hoards? I would like to see more treasures.
if you can think of new treasure items. Even better, if you could draw sprites I would be happy to add them.
ok, off the top of my head here's a few ideas: Giant versions of other gems (we have the giant ruby but little else) Silver/gold/jeweled music boxes Gold/silver sceptre Jeweled orbs (the same kind you see in imperial regalia) Crowns and tiaras Solid gold anvil of Krong (which just serves as a treasure) Ivory carvings since we have references to tribal and native cultures Ornate bottle of aged rum Gold and silver nuggets Platinum Inconsequentia statue Any or all of these can serve as equipment too if deserved.
You forgot the <?xml version="1.0"?> in SpellDB. I kinda used your mod to figure out how mods are supposed to be implemented, so thanks for that. I can't wait to combine this with the Not So Secret mod Essence made... Then again, <?xml version="1.0"?> seems to be randomly placed. IDK.
my mod isn't the best mod to look at when you're just starting out. take a look at the core game files if you want to start modding.
I do not think that tag actually serves a purpose anyway. The game itself does not restrict itself to strict XML. Mods only effect the game. They do not override the game.
I was looking at your files to figure out how to format things. The wiki is surprisingly unhelpful when it comes to examples of what a proper mod looks like. For instance, I was missing the <craftDB></craftDB>, and nothing in the wiki suggested I needed it at all. I was also interested in the 'sets' mechanic you had, and I'm looking to see how it works.
That whole sets thing...I've look at it like a dozen times, and I have never wrapped my brain around it. Just one of many reasons why Ruigi is a badass.
