Hi I have a problem where I've lost the main savegame that I'm playing. Whenever I play a game I always use the same character name, 'Blaiz0r' I had an old savegame with this character name and decided that I wanted to try a new build, so I set this up and use the name Blaiz0r as my character. Bow when I try and continue my game, I onyl have one Blaiz0r savegame, my old one, i have tell by the skills, and the only way I can access my latest character is by using the Autosave. The problem with this is that Autosaves are only made periodically and I'm concerned that I could lose it if there's a syncing issue. Can anyone offer any advice?
If you don't care about syncing, here's what I would do: go to the savegame folder (documents/gaslamp games/dungeons of dredmor/) and copy both save folders elsewhere, then open config.xml and change the enableCloud=1 line to 0. Run the game, if your saves aren't there, copy them back into the folder. Then saving your character *should* work as normal, let me know if it does not.
Yes, what I said to do is to make sure the cloud doesn't overwrite them. Do what I said, then load the autosave, save once again and the old Blaizor profile should be updated (or you'll get a new profile, either way).
