Has anyone played with multiattack yet? I've got an idea for a Secret New Thing, but part of it depends on the actual mechanics of the multiattack tag, and before I go building it, I figured I'd ask around here...

  2. Obligatory "there's a muliattack tag"?

Strangely, it's a spell thing. From what Null has mentioned, it allows you to cast the same spell more than once in a turn, but I don't know if it automatically casts more than once per turn, or if it just "doesn't count as a turn until you've done it X many times" and you can do something else after it. Can you target each casting seperately? So on so forth.

No it casts it multiple times all at once on the same target without any kind of control between casts

That's exactly what I was hoping you'd say. Thanks, Null!

AFAIK, it only works if the spell is cast directly (instead of being triggered).

I tried using it for arcane missile, and the multi-cast wouldn't trigger unless I cast the spell directly from my hotbar.

    Good to know, thanks.

The basic plan here is to have a simple attack spell that, when cast in a polymorph form, repeats itself three times. "Single shot" vs. "Semi Auto" kind of thing. :)

  9. Unless I'm missing something, you could just copy/paste a trigger several times inside a spell for the exact same effect and not worry about using the unsupported tag.

    ...you suck.

By which I mean, good catch. :)
