    I understood nothing of the technicals (basically, I was doing the equivalent of holding my ears shut and screaming "lalalalala" when reading that part), but that sentence is obvious the proof that there is another force to move the human. We now have gravity, fear and spite. Good work, Gaslamp Games, you revolutionized behavioral sciences with one blog post!

    Uh, I don't operate based on spite. I operate based on hummus and vegetables.

    Hummus is the stuff, man. I mean, I need meat on a visceral level, but if I had to choose something that wasn't Thai peanut sauce to put on my bulgar wheat for the rest of my life, hummus would be pretty clearly the second choice. :)

    I dunno man, I think I'd pick some kind of stew which had like half of a pantry thrown in it.

    I love plant diversity in games!
    Do the plants animated to move in the wind?

    Edit: Since I am quoted, lets just say I edited my post a few times before submitting the grammatically incorrect quoted version.

    I am glad Dave got the gist of "Are the plants animated to move in the wind" all the same.

    Doing this completely properly would require some immensely clever procedural system or rigging all the plants manually. We don't have time to do the former and absolutely don't want to do the latter. What we may do is try some clever geometry shader type thing to get a similar effect.

    The same geometry shaders that involve plants' growth ?

  13. Needs more coding stuff! (Okay I will stop.)

    @Kamisma
    I think the plant growth is more like a replace models under the guise of some effect.

    That. Was quite the interesting read. Found myself lauging out loud several times throughout the read. and sympathizing with the plight of the Colony Bureaucrat. Damn poets.

    If CE becomes the story generator it promises to be, I am not going to be playing anything else for a long time.
