Lacking "in the pit" for it to be Gaslamp.

I don't think any amount of concrete will help you there. But I might be missing the point.

Why use concrete when you have Flesh Bricks?

Ahh...this forum's great. I wrote the original post, posted it, and noticed I left out "info" after "concrete." I was going to edit it...and decided to see what would happen first.

    No disappointment here!

So most developers took some build to GDC to show off.... maybe to secure funds maybe to scare the new PR person... the question is, how far off are we from seeing some early gameplay or just some cool things (rendered environments, a fully or semi-functioning city, or some combat? The Gaslamp Games Youtube User/Channel could use a few more videos!

Well, most of the stuff they wrote about were basics on which the game would function, but based on their progress speed I say that "2 to 3 months" is a decent estimate when you ask about the time until the game is in a state that would allow them to do so freely.

That having been said, it's just an estimate, and from the most sleep deprived user of this forum, so you likely still want Sir Nicholas or someone else from the crew to give you an answer, do you not?

Of course I do! But it sounds like he is burning it at both ends if he is coding dredmor on the weekends.

    David's manpouts <3

That's an excellent interview, though. It's long, and I'm about halfway through, but enjoying it.

    (Sorry David)

... you only think the manpouts are adorable because you don't have to work with the manpouts.

Will the Maddening Statues have manpouts?

It's still bearable. I do admit it sounds like a pain until one gets used to it, though.

Poor Nicholas was always facing away from the camera's. It might have something to do with how ridiculously photogenic David is! I didn't think that was coincidence at first, and it was pretty much confirmed when you guys 'teleported' to a different spot and were set up exactly the same!

David has a very distinct set of expressions that we have learned to interpret. As a fairly soft-spoken guy, I like to think this is his way of communicating to other people while we talk at him. I think what you're referring to is David expression for "I would phrase that differently" =)

Judging by the IRC channel last night, I think David's public appearance has been quite the hit.

I feel like Dungeons of Dredmor's next expansion pack needs to feature the PC Gamer-interviewers' tie as amulet.

An extremely informative and entertaining interview. Well done, good sirs! I will admit to having a minor aneurysm at the pushing of the date back, but I am also a firm believer in releasing a more polished game at a later date.
