And this isn't exactly the band I was thinking of but you can still hear a bit of the Dave Clark Five in the music (I still have to think about this because I know there's a band that has a much closer sound).

There's also a bit of the Yardbirds in there (I think I'm getting warmer):

And now for something completely different...

The following is a video of a band featuring a few of my nephew's friends (my nephew, btw, was recently picked for an all-county orchestra from his school -- he plays violin and saxophone).

And my niece is playing violin in the following. You can see her (briefly) sitting in the back with the long hair and glasses.

Actually, that's just a 'generic' melodysheep track. Not sure why he didn't do it under the Symphony of Science 'brand', though.

    More melodysheep:

No YouTube embeds in this one but anyone liking video game music should check out http://music.gamechops.com/album/world-1-2, it's a collaboration album from tons of video game music composers. There's some amazing music in there. You can also listen to all the songs for free.

This morning, I've been listening to a whole lot of '60s music, primarily Buffalo Springfield. They only lasted 2 years as a group, but in those 2 years, they had an impressive body of work. Plus, the band launched the careers of Stephen Stills and Neil Young, who would make more music together in Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young.

Here's a few of my favorites.

I just finished watching "Across the Universe" for the third or fourth or fifth time (I've lost track). This could have gone into the movie thread or here, so I chose here. (It's a great movie, btw, especially for anyone who has any love for Beatles' music).

I really had to include one by Dana Fuchs, simply because she has such an incredible voice.

I had a really tough time picking songs to link, because I wanted to show the essence of the film without giving away too much of the plot.

Honestly I wanted to link so many more songs than this. I'd link the entire movie if I could lol. So here's another just for the heck of it:

I've been listening to this bit from DXHR while writing in crunch mode. This plus the soundtrack from Inception really help me write.
