My two and a half year old has made it to the third floor with perhaps the punchier build ever. She's playing unarmed, archaeology, battle geology, Kung fu, gangnam style, drunken boxing, and brofistery.
(Please note that the preceding post is sarcasm, though I am using dredmor as a tool to help my daughter learn basic spatial path finding and directions. Perhaps later I'll use it as a tool to teach her about the harshness of reality and consequences for one'a actions.)

Cute! 2.5 is pretty young! oh and depsite your sarcasm, OP mods are OP! Who is choosing her stat allocation
Yeah you shouldn't even sarcastically complain about difficulty when using mods. Even if they're very well balanced they aren't technically part of the game. They may be underpowered, overpowered, or actually pretty normally powered, but the dev didn't put them in so most comments made about the game while using them are inherently flawed.
Not really, e.g. Essences skill rebalance mods have been placed in the game. Clockwork Knight made it into the game. etc.
