I really like this mod, but the creator has been gone for over a year now, so it's unlikely that they will return. The mod itself is in pretty good shape, but it could use some balance tweaks. Also, it has a craft item with the same name as an item in another mod, so someone needs to fix the conflict. Just wondering how you all would feel about it if I took it over.
Personally I would say it's a tricky area, if you can't get permission, so I would first try and contact them. By default, private messages alert people by email, so you could try that and see if they notice? Essence wanted to do the same thing and ended up getting permission.
