I must admit to being slightly perplexed. I didn't see a single knife fight in there...

Just as perplexed as I am. Can´t someone stating what he thinks is fun and what isn´t without anyone taking it as critcism. I will say it again: The blog was good and I like what you are doing, others developers should be ashamed of thier communication with the community compared to you (I am looking at you, Rawbots). I just stated that this weeks blogspot wasn´t as enjoyable as the other blogs from a complete subjective point of view. Now can we please put this at rest. It was never my intention to get such a discussion started in the first place.

Well, with that I can agree. Oh well, it happens.
And it also has to be noted (for others) that "less enjoyable [than something that is enjoyable]" does not mean "utter crap" so there's that.

And let's not jump on someone for not liking the same things you do. Anyways, back to your regularly scheduled program.

I'm guessing the knife fight in the pit would have happened had he rolled dice for disagreement level amongst party or something.

Don't you need to multiclass as an officebarian to take part in those?

Yeah! I mentioned that in my comments. The black screen output is gives the post the right mood. Because what would a GLG post be without some pictures?

Truly it is a superb portrait of the feral grue in its natural habitat.

I truly, truly pity the technicians who have to support the abysmal-ness that is is the Intel HD4000. Does that mean your requirements are lowering? I seem to recall lots of RAM and quad-core processors being mentioned as "minimums" at one point in the past. Doesn't supporting the HD4000 kind of defeat that idea?

Well, supposedly, yes; on the other hand, laptops can be real monsters—Frankenstein's monsters, that is—so it's possible to get a quad core with a silly integrated video card.

What he said. You will still need 2 gigs of RAM, and you really should still have a quad-core processor. Video card hardware is interesting because you do get these laptops that are powerful enough to do the simulation and the CPU side of the CE rendering, but which are hampered by these terrible graphics parts.

  15. This means my laptop with a GeForce GTX GTX 660M, Intel Core i7-3630QM CPU and 6 GB of RAM is perfectly suited for Clockwork empires correct?
EDIT: Its alienware, if that affects anything

    Yes, that should be fine.

  17. Good to know thanks :)

Understood! I forgot about those laptops....

  19. Will dual gfx cards have any affects on performance? Just wondering because some games I've played somehow defaulted to my integrated gfx card even though I've specified the use of my nvidia card.
Also, if you could, could you let me know if my system specs can run the game with at fps above 30?
    CPU: i7 3610QM
RAM available: 8gb (around 4GB due to running everything else required to run a computer)
    Integrated Card: IntelHD 4000
Seperate Card: nvidia GeForce 630M 2gb
If I'm missing more specs, my computer model is an ASUS N56V.

    Thanks!

I'd just run it on the GeForce 630M and you'll be fine.

In general: using the wrong graphics card is some sort of driver configuration problem, and probably not our fault. (I think.)
