I'll take a look at STEP, improved graphics wouldn't hurt, but I'd rather not turn it into a camping simulator actually... It's a bonus that STEP recommends mod organizer, which is what I'm using, so that should make installing it easier.
To each their own, I guess Yeah, that's one of the things that first caught my attention about it. I was annoyed and disturbed by NMM and STEP helped me get past it. It really is a good little 'method.'
Yeah I'm more likely to reduce realism, with some ingredient weight removal/reduction mods. I'm heavily into crafting... and will likely grab some convenience and crafting expansion mods. I'll also be exploring, spelunking and questing.
The Last of Us: Left Behind - the new single-player DLC pack. I'm just gonna go sit in a corner with all of the feels.
Well... got my Titanfall beta key, so I'll play that after work today and tomorrow at least not sure how long it lasts.
I'm playing Skyrim (BTW, has anybody else noticed that the opening scene in Skyrim at the beginning of a new game is basically the same as the opening to Evil Dead III: Army of Darkness? {the player-character is Ash Williams and Ulfric Stormcloak is Henry the Red})
Lol. What a coincidence... Original thought died of loneliness ages ago. Ever notice how every few years someone will make a movie or television series that is so remarkably similar to another from the past that it begs you to scream plagiarism at your television/monitor? Anyway. Back to the topic. I am going to play Dungeon Keeper 2 for the first time. I loved the original, but never got the second to work on any system I had without instantly crashing. Now I bought this from GoG and have even tested it out and set the resolution and sound stuff how I like. (I never got that far back when they game was an actual CD-ROM.) Apparently GoG has revamped the GUI so it actually works without having to fight it. In the graphics options, next to DirectX it says "GOG HW Patch". Nice. *Edit* Oh, for anyone who wants it, the original is still free, and DK2 is $1.49 at the moment. http://www.gog.com/game/dungeon_keeper_2
Easy: being inspired. When you're inspired something stirs something inside you, which makes your inner feeling/idea grow and blossom. When you plagiarize you rationally decide to mimic another person't work.
If you want some kind of weight removal, Bandolier - Bags and Pouches is nice to have. I thought of it as cheating, but this other mod I had downloaded changed Dwemer Large Strut's weight to 42 and that's enough reason for me to cheat.
I don't think that's still quite true. It's possible to rip something off without plagiarising - A lot of the Flappy Bird clones we've seen are all rip-offs, but they're not plagiarised. Plagiarising is taking someone else's work and passing it off as your own (without due credit/attributions). Ripping off is seeing someone's idea and doing it yourself.
In some cases I understand the difference, but in some different cases the difference is so minimal that it may as well not exist.
7 Grand Steps is weird and awesome.A single player board-game that feels like it takes some inspiration from King of Dragon Pass. Equally narrative and mechanical, it has you raising your own family throughout the ages of the world. Whether to keep them peasants or raise them to the ruling class is up to you. Fascinating, surprisingly deep, and REALLY long. http://store.steampowered.com/app/238930/ Analogue: A Hate Story and Hate Plus, a pair of shockingly well-written visual novel-esque games focusing around a tragedy aboard a seed colony spaceship. Amazing and horrifying. http://store.steampowered.com/sub/32136/
Been getting into Our Darker Purpose, an interesting Binding of Isaac "clone" that showed up on Steam recently if you hadn't seen it. Tough as nails, but it's kept me playing... and the story is surprisingly engrossing. Definitely recommend it to anyone who's been on the fence about it.
Banished is pretty good so far. Only put 2.5 hours in so take that with a grain of salt. Reminds me a more survival-based Anno, actually. Don't go expecting much in the personality department, though, as it's very numbers-based.
Antichamber: Got Mooms to thank for this one. Also, what the fuck. The Last of Us: Played the new DLC last Friday, and was blown away by it, and as of yesterday (I think) I've picked the game back up in order to try and finish it. Aaaaaaaand I'm closing in on the end, just a few hours to go. Should hopefully have it done tomorrow. Can definitely see why this is up for essentially every award ever.
OK, I'm not ashamed to admit it, but I'm an old fogy at heart and love match 3 games. I just finished 7 Wonders II, and am currently working my way though 7 Wonders: Alien Makeover (the Match 3 part is kind of standard, but it has some cool minigames that I'm also enjoying).
Antichamber was fantastic! I feel like the puzzles become a bit too trial and error near the end, though... and once you get the red gun, everything can/will just boil down to brute forcing it.
