Aside from the ritualistic slaughter of everyone how do I make them stop liking the occult?

    Is there something I'm missing?

I'm trying to run a clean town here, but the fools just won't shut up about it!

apparently I don't know how to spell "liking" in the title :/

I haven't tested it yet, so I don't know if it's working in the current update- but I believe the way to control deviant thoughts is to make them stone drunk.

Drinking and other substance abuses remove memories, so if you can remove the horrible memory of that time they saw their brother beaten to death by a fish person, they should return to civil society.

Its funny how everyone was on about frontier justice to any settler even considering cult worshiping, when the actual feature for the cults to form isnt currently enabled in this version nor the prior ones, thus allowing you to ignore the cultist messages forever.

I figure people wanted to be better safe than sorry. I'm personally waiting for the cults to start forming once the feature is in... Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn!

I looked up the pseudo-pronunciation on that a while back, and apparently I still remember it. Thanks for that, hah.

I think somewhere they mentioned you could build insane asylums. In the case that they're in, mine will be heavily guarded and have barricades surrounding it. I don't want an asylum break.

In that scenario, not only could you build an asylum, but use insanity as a power source with the aid of some mysterious obelisk.
