Now almost every game has a Wikia nowadays, and they are fantastic for Theorycraft.

So, I was wondering... Is anyone up for starting one?
Start adding pages about all the different skills, what each level grants you, their cost/effects etc!

It'd be really useful and a great for the community, since it had better be big!
I'd start this myself but alas I'm not a beta tester so don't have access to all the skills/class abilities etc etc..

But if any beta testers wanna get started on this now before the full game is released, I know I'd appreciate it!
Anyone else fancy a Dredmor Wikia?

I would love one! Having never played Dredmor, I feel that it would be useful to myself and many others upon the game's release. I would also like to add to it as I play and discover things.

Exactly, I'm a huge nerd and love to Theorycraft, try and find broken combo's or "OP" build etc, It's one of the things I do best.
(Iv even been a beta tester for other games as I was friends with a GM and they would often give me peeks at new items and ask if I could 'break' it by combining it with other items/abilities etc).

But I'd really love to have details of each spell, what it does, how much it costs, what damage it deals, it's range, AoE.. Then info on all the monsters, possible weapons, traps and dangers, Everything like that! Would make for a fantastic read and be soooo extremely useful.

Since David and Co seem to be active on the forums now, I have to ask.

When the game is released, will it have a website with like, game details on, explanations about each of the skills/abilities, a list of what spells each skill tree gets etc?
Or will we have to discover it all ourselves? :O (Or, make a Wikia! Hah)

Busted. (Though I try to keep a low profile.) So, to answer:

    - I want to make a website with some explanation of some skills and abilities, but this would not be comprehensive. This would go on the dungeonsofdredmor.com website to promote the game, basically.

    - All of the information about all skills, abilities, and spells is contained in easily read xml files which you will be able to access in the game folder.

    - I'd love it if players made a wiki for Dredmor.

I've never made one myself... Only edited/added to some, so no idea where you start.

But yes I'd love that! Also good news all round, I look forwards to reading about it and making the Wikia should be easy with that xml file. Faaaantastic work! :D

    I registered http://www.dredmorwiki.com

It's much cleaner than wikia and I already have a lot of the framework started.

    Wow I'm totally loving http://www.dredmorwiki.com
Lets stick with that, first priority is write up alittle something about the basics of the game, then lets all focus on the skill system and listing every ability from every talent tree.
    Good work so far ^^

There have been a few people that have already been working hard. I want to extend my thanks out to them. It's definitely easier being a curator than the primary (or only) content creator on a wiki.

Keep up the good work! This is looking great!
