I've played two games now. It's a great game. I love the insults the monsters shout at you, the fun skill chains, and the crafting system. I have a few wishes for improvement to the controls. (I grew up playing Moria on the Amiga, so I like keyboard controls.) 1. A key to pick up the item you are standing on and dump it into your inventory. 2. A key or key combination that lets you attack the monster next to you. e.g. Shift + Arrow key. 3. A key or key combination that lets you use your spell/skill to attack the monster next to you, e.g. Ctrl + Arrow key. 4. It would also be great if you could interact with your inventory and the crafting boxes while the recipes dialog is up.
1: While not exactly what you request, shift-clicking items puts them in your inventory. 2: You can enable move-to-attack in the in-game options and attack them with WASD 4: Agreed! but the crafting UI is going to be revamped.
1. You should be able to right click potions to drink them from the alchemy screen. I tried this and instead activated my teleport and landed next to an enemy and died.
1: Oh and I found out that on the options screen you can turn on autolooting which picks up things when you step on them. You can pick what kind of items to pick up too. I really like that. 2: This is just what I was looking for. I just hadn't investigated the options well enough.
Also, 5. Option to shoot in a direction, even if your target is off-screen. I don't know if it is because I play the game on a netbook (low-res), but it often happens that I can't target right. Possibly key combination for this, too. 6. Crafting dialogs should catch clicks. Currently if the dialog is on top of the Menu, sKills, Quests, etc. buttons, clicking activates those buttons.
