Even better, when playing with Permadeath on, it would be fun to know how many times a player's died.
If you're having trouble counting it on your fingers, it makes me wonder how you can play with no fingers.
Each character can only die once on Permadeath. However, a player can die a little inside over and over, to the point where they want a counter to tell them how much of their soul has been consumed by DoD.
I like this suggestion. Creating a character allows that character to be reused after death, starting at lvl 1 in permadeath. Maybe lock this character to a certain mode. If avatar options are ever added, these would be unchangeable per character. His skills would be changeable. Complete stats would be tracked. Gets some kind of gold star next to his name for each time he's completed the dungeon. Maybe his total experience would give him a title or rank in addition to the above. Complete stats could include dmg done, dmg received, food eaten, health healed by food, # of deaths, each monster responsible for his death, spells cast most, skill trees selected most often, (# of dungeon levels completed with a skill tree)/(# of times that skill tree was chosen), # of times dead on level 1, largest hit, greatest dmg received in 1 hit, total items crafted, number of items stolen, average empty bag space at the end of a dungeon level, number of zoos cleared, number of zoos fled, number of zoo deaths, number of spaces walked, number of total non-walk actions, etc and etc.
