I started a new 1.0.9 ROTDG character this morning and sunk a couple of hours into it. When I returned this afternoon to play some more, I found I could not load my save without crashing out of Dredmor. I tried restarting Steam and even rebooting, both to no avail. I've attached the error message I receive upon crashing, in case it helps.
I get the same error. In fact, all my save files crash on load, be they old or new. We both seem to be on Macs, which may be related. No way of knowing if it's the same craziness-on-load business as cited elsewhere (http://community.gaslampgames.com/threads/nonstop-teleport-and-other-load-crashes.1778/).
It’s not ‘the same craziness-on-load’. It’s a Mac and Linux only problem as discussed in an other topic. Nicholas is ‘on it’.
Glad to see their 'on it' ... just hope their more on it than they've been with other Mac stability issues. I heart this game, just getting sick of having to work around it's recent bugs (only playing in windowed mode, only able to play the first level over and over again...)
Some people have had some success with a reinstall of the game. Not guaranteed to fix your problem but worth a shot.
Nope, reinstalling didn't help. Old games, and new games (started since reinstall) all still crash to desktop on load.
