Post em. Warrior -Killer Vegan; Hilarious, good bonuses and Diggles become walking traps. A great twist on the Paladin/Fallen Paladin trope. Rogue -Assassination, it's boring like most Warrior skills and a very Warriory skill but it's the one I always find on my melee dudes. -Werediggle, because werediggles gonna weredig. Wizard -Emomancy, never used it but I'll be damned if those skills aren't the funniest.
I am a big fan of the following build: Archaeology, Alchemy, Blood Magic, Burglary, Demonology, Inquisitor, Viking Magic. Yes, Inquisitor is from a mod: it can be rather readily replaced by Astrology.
Burglary. Duh. You start the game with an extra item of food and drink, and you eventually get to steal artifacts from Brax. What's not to love? Fungal Arts (especially once they fix the Invisibility bug, and double especially if you use the core mod rebalance to eliminate Spores from the equation.) It's like four different escape buttons and four sweet buffs all from just a single skill point.
I like Burglary (moving in mysterious ways for the win), Tinkering (duh, item crafting is *the* reason I tried playing DoD, even though the rest of the game is at least just as fun), and if we are also counting mod skills, then Ninjutsu (I love having pretty much unlimited ammunition to kill everything with thousands of ranged paper-cuts).
Tinkering. All they need to do is give Tinkering craftable killer clockwork robodrones and it will achieve a new level of awesome. Also, more inventory space.
Demonology. Contract and Celstial Circle = HAAAAX! Also Fungal Arts. gotta love Fungal Arts. To paraphrase, Demon. F.arts.
Caster: Ley Lines. Mana Regen Ability + Teleport on 3 second cooldown = uber sick Golemacy. Walls and Thaumites plus digging ray the whole dang level! Rogue. Burlarly. Picks, traps, and vending machine steal! Arch. Send that Shiz to the museum... got 9000 exp from an item this weekend. Plus using all krongs on neckpieces and then just send them to the museum and then restoring them and doing it all over again! Warrior Berserking. Procs and More Procs least loved Axes... the skill tree would be OK but it seems axes are way to few. Throwing. Single target throwing is kinda meh. The damage you get from a crossbow is usually better than the bonus you get from melee bonus.
I enjoy the game much more when I'm playing rogue builds: Archery, Burglary, Archaeology and Tinkering for sure, and I try to alter the other three skills. Also, I love promethean magic + blood magic. I think I like setting things on fire too much...
Dual Wielding because the game is practically unplayable as a melee without it. I mean you could go with something super tanky or a build meant to wield two of those books that proc paralysis but it takes so long to kill as melee without DW that it's pretty much a must-have to me. Burglary for the extra exp and incredible utility on top of some good stats. Fleshcrafting because it has a really good heal and some AoE to help deal with zoo's as a non-mage.
Necro for zoo obliteration. Also for many funny deaths where I've accidentally opened a rift right on top of my own head. Mathemagic for the random teleport which more often than not teleports me right into my own rift, leading to more funny deaths. Blood Magic for providing lots of mana to cause more funny deaths with. Emo, because the curse cure is handy. Also, for creating acid clouds then accidentally walking straight through them leading to yet more funny deaths. Promethean for setting fire to things. Usually myself, leading to even more funny deaths.
On the subject of yet another funny death, I present to you this fine example. I was sat further down the screen and intended to stick another rift in because I am a firm believer in overkill. However, I didn't notice that I had teleport selected so I successfully teleported right between two rifts and in the middle of a zoo. I'm pretty proud of this one
