This is a perfect game for picking up any playing on any computer. Work, home, laptop etc. Does Dredmore have Steam cloud saving or will I have to use Dropbox? Hint: Steam cloud save is better because I dont have to futz with it
So to answer my own question, no the game does not save on the cloud. I am looking for the files/folders I will need to sync in order to keep the game synced across multiple computers. If someone beats me to it and posts here, I will be very happy.
Steam Cloud support is coming. Actually, we're waiting on Valve for something. In the mean time: on Windows, you'll find your stuff in My Documents/Gaslamp Games/Dungeons of Dredmor. On OS X, it's buried under /users/yournamehere/Library/Application Support/Dungeons of Dredmor - and I have no idea, honestly, if save games are compatible between OSes. They *should* be...
Any updates on this? The missing steam cloud support is really keeping me from playing more, since I'm often switching between PCs
Steamcloud has been functional for a month or two now. However, it sometimes acts up for some people and overwrites saves if you have multiple characters especially.
Yes. Unless you're playing on more than one PC and wish to continue your saves on different computers, I strongly recommend turning Steam Cloud off as it's somewhat unreliable, like most of Steam's features. I almost lost a good 10-15hrs of Saints Row the Third progress due to the cloud malfunctioning.
