Windows Vista/7 64-bit Achievement counters resetting and Mysterious Portal crash

    As the title suggests,my achievement counters(For achievements such as High Cholesterol,Sir Mix-A-Lot etc.) reset regularly,I don't know what's causing it but it happens a lot.

    And,any Mysterious Portal I walk into just crashes the game.Every single one.I guess that makes them even more mysterious,huh?

    I hope these will get fixed soon.

    By the way,thanks for such an awesome game,Gaslamp.Really enjoying it.

    Send flowers to Valve, maybe that'll motivate them to fix that issue. It's on their end.

    Oh, but the one with mysterious portals is GLG's fault. So you can pester Nicholas about that (just be gentle).

    My 40-ish Heroic Vandalism counter reset after the update patch T_T

    If we depend on Valve,God knows when the fix will be done.Don't get me wrong,I love Valve,but their sense of time is an entirely different thing.

    I hope the Mysterious Portal thing gets fixed fast tho,I am really wondering what's behind 'em. :3

    Mysterious Portals crash my game as well.

    Which is odd as they were working perfectly fine until YHTNTEP update.

    You can save before entering a portal, even if it crashes once it usually won't crash twice. We have crash dumps for them so I expect them to be fixed for the next release.

    It's odd. I saved right before entering and it crashed. Then loaded again - saved - crashed. Repeated this process a few more times before just giving up and playing on a different character. Then the next day it worked every time I tried. Then the following day it crashed every time again. Awkward :confused:.

    I save before each and every MP, Stair, or anything else that creates or loads a level. It *WILL* work. But sometimes it crashes. There is a reason for every crash, and sometimes it can seem impossible to load. But try again enough and it will load and work just fine.

    Usually I think it is trying to add items and rooms and monsters to the level that are not stable. The reason they crash so often for MPs is that they are level 0 and can have *Anything* in them. All the items, all the monsters, all the rooms. (With few exceptions.)

    More mods makes for less stability in the level creation since there is much more that can go wrong.
