Corruption really annoys me, especially since the Log is so unusable, I never even see the event. It's no fun checking on your once great sword and discovering it's swarming with debuffs. So i'd like to remove the corruption ability at least from enemies, which files/entries should be changed for that, is it possible? Thanks! Btw, what enemies are capable of Corruption, I can't remember seeing anything in the logs.
At the moment, the best way to avoid corruption is to not use artifact weapons entirely. Otherwise it just gets really annoying.
Note that, as far as I'm aware, every monster with a corruption attack has a note as such in their description. You should be doing everything you can to avoid meleeing them.
Corruption! Appears in much the way like dodge/Counter does during combat, so if you are watching your character you should notice it.
@IanExMachina No point of noticing corruption "after" the fact right? You really have to read the names/descriptions and remember which monster to avoid. Alternatively you can just not use artifact weapons.
I actually just kept two sets of equipment. For instance, in my Alchemy/Necro/Dual/Staves build, I actually had five staves. Two were enchanted Jingly Jangly Staves (found them on Floor 1 and 2 stores, farmed a lot of fruit with my fruitful staff during 1.0.3. and sold off the booze), one unenchanted Jingly Jangly Staff, a Fruitful Staff, and a Metal Orby Staff. It requires some luck, as does most of the game, but I was able to get past the issue of corruption. Not really too bad, in all honesty.
