1. Stealing items: You can use any crafting item to steal something out of the shop, just place the weapon you want inside the crafting tool, and make Brax go away from the door simply by picking up and dropping another item in the shop. The item can then be made "unstolen" by dropping it, going to another floor, going back and picking it up again, it can then be resold to brax. 2. Stack reselling: If you have a stack of something, something you can easily get large amounts of, like lockpicks or lutefisk. Lets say you have a stack of 10 lockpicks, keep 1 of them in your inventory, sell the other 9, pick it up, restack and resell.
