Hi, Today, I installed the hotfix and managed to load a game that previously would insta-crash the game. I killed Lord Dredmor on Elvishly Easy Mode and didn't get any achievement. I loaded the game and let Lord Dredmor kill me. Still no achievement. A Muscle Diggle also killed me and yet, no achievement. Anyone with the same problem?
Yes. Neither '98 Pound Weakling' nor 'I Tink, Therefore I am' triggered post-patch on a pre-patch save. My guess is that these do not trigger because Steam has yet to recognize the new patch, and setup communication between Steam Achievements and the game.
I've been having similar problems. Brew Fame, Bottle Glory, Stopper Death, Kleptomania, Boil Water Advisory, Nothing to See Here, Move Along, You Know What Time It Is, 98 Pound Weakling, and Playing For Both Teams haven't triggered for me, pre- and post-manually installing the new patch.
This problem I have actually figured out how to counter it. Make sure you X out of steam so its only running in the background. If you have the window for steam open when you are playing it does not recognize you are trying to update it and any achievement or progress to one will not be recorded. Since I've done that, haven't had any more issues with it.
