When you're fighting against multiple enemies at once or just simply distracted for a few seconds, it's very easy to miss potentially important combat messages and be left with questions like "Which enemy is doing the most damage to me right now?" or "Did that enemy use any special abilities underneath all that the multi-damage counter-spamming I was doing?" Adding the standard roguelike command to view the most recent messages (either re-shown as normal but with lines further down the screen, or else in a scrollable pop-up message box) would solve this problem.
