Hopefully easy question: I'd like to add the effect of "Swift Hands" from the Dual Wielding skill set to a mod I'm making. Background: I'm totally new to modding & xml, so explain it like I'm 5 I've searched both this site, webz & the game code itself. I can't find where the code actually relieves (or applies the special bonus) the 2 weapon penalty. Thanks in advance for your help! Edit: clarity
Aaarrgh! That's what I was afraid of. Oh well, it's not the end of the world. It might lead to my mod being better balanced if I couldn't include it anyway. Thanks for the quick reply!
I think I read somewhere that you can add multiple abilities and passives to one level of a skill. So perhaps you could just add the first skill level of Dual Wielding in addition to your own ability or passive? I don't know if you can do that.
@Gorbax That's what I was originally thinking, but I was worried about the exact problem stated by Iccorp2. I'd like to keep it simple this time since I'm total noob with xml. I just took it out. I did get the mod in the game and I'm still testing/debugging (so far has almost made me want to pull out my hair ). If I can keep up the pace I should I might be able to post it in a few days (with custom artwork, yeah!). Thanks for everyone's help! I know I'm coming to the party pretty late on this game.
