Allow multiple perma death character saves

This is a confusing title and I apologize.

I am having trouble saving more than 1 different kind of character on permadeath. For example, I had a melee character I was playing on GRPD. I had saved last night and stopped playing. Today I wanted to start a wizard character, also on GRPD. I played for a while and saved, and it saved over my other PD character.

Any way to allow one save slot per character without allowing people to skirt around permadeath? Or am I stuck playing just one character until I win or die?

 

Change names?

 

Oh, is that the problem? I do name my characters the same. Thanks

 

Took me a while to figure that one out myself when I started playing.
