Maybe I'm doing something wrong. When I press escape and click "Autoloot Options" by default everything's greyed out, so I click on everything. Now everything is bright. Yet when I walk on things, they aren't autolooting. Only money is. So I unclick everything, and it's grey again. I walk on things, they aren't autolooting. Thinking maybe I misunderstood autoloot, I brighten everything and simply click on the item. It goes into my hand like normal, waiting to be placed in my inventory. So I UNclick everything again, and click on the item, and once again, it's waiting to be placed in my inventory. I looked for a thread about this and apparently it's just me. Am I not understanding how it works? Is it a bug? Who's on first?
There's an auto loot button you have to hit bottom left hand corner of the UI before those options even work.
Hi Nicholas, instead of just making the button larger, there's probably a few ways to improve discoverability. The lowest-engineering-requirement solution would probably be to just add a tip to the auto-loot selection window which said something like: "These options affect the auto-loot setting (bottom right)." As the features stands today, I had no inkling I would have to go looking for an auto-loot setting in the first place (particularly since gold auto-loot seems to always be on!)
Why not just start with default autoloot on, but all items off? Personally I don't think an extra button to trigger is even necessary that way.
