Windows Vista/7 64-bit Autosave/Any save reduces health

  1. Right, just finished the game and thought I'd mention this bug. Every time the game autosaves, my HP is reduced from maximum to some lower value. It's certainly based on my level, since the lower value is only constant until I level up. So would have 122/122 or so HP, then the game would autosave and I'd have 108/120. Every time.

    Unrelated, have there ever been any cases of a Permadeath save being reflagged as non-permadeath? I could've sworn I didn't turn permadeath off, but the achievement was for the non-permadeath Dredmor kill. I know I didn't die, I thought it was permadeath. Maybe past self is trolling me.

    I *think* the save health thing is fixed in the most recent beta.

    Regarding permadeath, this would certainly be the first time I hear about something like this. However, note that occasionally permadeath does turn off in the difficulty screen so it's possible you created a new character without noticing it that didn't have it.

  4. Oh, good. The save health obviously didn't stop me from winning, but it was a nuisance.

    I probably did just make the character without. I thought permadeath was always on by default, and you had to turn it off every time. I didn't know it sometimes flicked off unasked. Oh well, I guess I'll shoot for the achievement when the new DLC is out.
