The Axeman Skill Tree: - "Why wield an axe, when you could play one?" This is a rock music (guitar) themed warrior skill tree, I've got several skills thought out so far, but I'm looking for more ideas, and some feedback on the current power balance. 0. Axeman - "After years of your parents moaning at you to get a real job, you've finally mastered the intricacies of axemanship" Item: The Axe - A guitar, in the shape of a battleaxe, I am not sure on what skill gains/damages to give this yet... 1. I am Iron Man. - "DUM, DUM, DUM-DUM-DUM, DANA-DANA-DANA DUM, DUH-DUH-DUH" Passive Buff: 1 , 1, 1, -1, Spell: Can he see or is he blind? - Equal chance to either greatly increase or decrease the casters , lasts for 10 turns, 25 downtime 2. Spell Effect: Face Melter: Causes a scaled amount of per turn, lasts 3 turns. <!-------- Things to go in here? People, you're up! ---------> X. Deal with the Devil - "Everybody knows that all true rock legends are the Devil's best friends. You are no exception. It'll cost your eternal soul though." Passive Buff: 5 , 5 , 5 , 5 , 5 , - 5 Spell: Lucifers Contract - Causes a highly scaled amount of and , with small chance that the damage can be inflicted upon the caster. We all hate the small print. So there you have what I have so far. Everything is flexible, except that last spell, I like the idea of it too much. Now taking all criticisms!
One comment I've heard a lot from others is when designing a skill tree, drop out passives [such as "1 , 1, 1, -1"]. Replace passive buffs with active/passive effects to give make your skill tree "feel different". There are a decent number of raw stat skill trees out there. As an example you could do something like: % Chance when hero is hit to yell "I AM IRON MAN" really loud gaining [1, 10]
Diggle groupies... sounds... interesting I love it Yeah, now that I think about it I hate it when I level up and find out that all my choices are just passive buffs and I dont get any new toys to play with it shall be changed
