Been looking around for a great caster build from someone who has replayed this game several times. and I think I've found one, but I'd also really like a general idea of an order for where to put what skill points where. I imagine that the idea of a full build for this is too much to ask for, but if it's possible, could I maybe I could get some suggestions for the first 10 levels, please? Anyways, here's the build: Psionics Viking Wizardry Magic Training Ley Lines Archaeology Mathemagic Astrology Suggested Alternatives were Promethian and blood What I know to get asap is the second Archaeology skills for great exp, as well as the second Ley Lines skill, but where should I go from there? Thank you for your time.
I think you have a problem - mostly that you have no real offensive potential out of the gate. Switch Viking Wizardry for Promethean, and you'll have much better early combat ability. Taking the Arch skill ASAP is often good advice - but not so much in this case. You really need to get a pet - level 3 in Promethean, or level 2 in Golemancy. Once you have a pet you can relax a bit, and let your build develop more. The key skills for this build are: Promethean level 3 (pet) 4 (fireball) Psionics 2 (shove) 3 (healing) Ley Lines 2 (mana regen) Archaeology 2 (XP from artifacts) I would get them in the following order: Promethean 2, 3, Arch 2, Promethean 4, Ley Lines 2, Psionics 2, 3
Alternatively, since viking, astrology, and psionics lend themselves very well to the gish you could subtract mathemagic and magic training for more melee oriented skills or sub in some other gishy strangeness such as warlockery and perhaps even toss in alchemy in place of leylines too. Gishes can do all kinds of crazy stuff with their skill sets. Here's one idea. Astral Psionic Viking AXE (because you're a viking damnit!) Archaeology Mastery of Arms Alchemy That's just one iteration out of dozens. If you want to do a more pure caster type though I'd go with Strange's idea. Best of luck with your psychic astral viking.
Burglary Emomancy Archaeology Viking mage Blood mage Golemancy Vegan for hp or Necromancy for damage Burglary : really useful. Extra exp, trap sight, lockup, invisible and blink without any cost or risk Emomancy. : AOE silence. 'nuff said Archaeology : useful skills Viking mage : Good spells with low cost Blood mage : just extra mana and some buff Golemancy : Blade being is really useful at anytime. i want to skip that mustache my skill build Skatha -> Lucky pick -> It belong in a museum -> Arctic vortex -> mustache and wall -> if you have problem with melee combat get Burglary lane first. if you have problem with mages get emomancy first for silence. -> Warcry Hand of beilmawr and Thor's bolt ->
